Just to share..if you like it you buy it. I spent days and weeks looking at different brands and test drive a few luxury cars (Lexus GS250, Mercedes Eclass & Cclass etc.) but it took me 30 mins from time of walk into jaguar showroom to handing over my credit card to my sales executive. The Lexus was more bang for buck as it had alot of technologies and perks compared to the Jag. (E.g. Aircon on driver seat, Backseat blinds, better sound system, cheaper servicing, sunroof and lower noise level) However, the jag just got the WoW factor.

Just simply love the car. I just collected my car (XF 2.2L Diesel) last Sunday and to date it drives real well. Full tank after kiosk rebate is $74 (excluding my credit card rebate). There's power when you need it and comfort when you decide to step off the pedal. Alot of eyes on the car while driving or stationary.

Jag Diesel is a good choice, will qualify for A1 $5000 rebate next year. New diesel tax will also be in next year.

BUt I understand that petrol station's on site discount and credit card co don't favor Diesel

So far I've pump at SPC once. Apply for new SPC Diesel card, straight away got 10% discount. Afterwhich, I use my everday card got 3% card rebate.

If pump petrol you will get 10% site discount, everyday card will get 5% + 3%.

My fuel tank is about 65Litres if I'm not wrong.

seems like it's not really useful for people with low mileage like me.

only pump one tank petrol per month.

hardly any savings with the special tax

i think the new diesel tax system would favour those with high mileages.

1 full tank per month? u travel often? 1 full tank sounds like 4 days of traveling for me. [:p]

I'm seriously considering diesel for next ride. My milege about 25k per yr. After factoring in the new diesel road tax structure, I envisage my savings per annum from the cheaper diesel price and the higher mileage diesel gives over petrol is at least $1500-2000. Not to mention the pleasure of driving with a more torquey car.
