After which year is it safe to buy Jaguar? 2009-2010? Does anyone know?

Have always known Jags to be unreliable but would really want to own one if they are reliable (=

Anything thing XF is safe, but avoid those "X or S type" 1998-2008,or those 90's cars, those are rubbish.

I own a Nov 2006 XJ6 EXE LWB. Bought it used - one previous owner with 30K on the clock when it was about 3 years old. Have had no problems at all and service at UBI ex-Malayan Motors team. About coming to 60K on the clock. The new XF is very pretty and reliable. I have test driven it - almost as smooth as the Lexus GS I use to own. Go for it. If it's more than 3 years old and there is no more warranty, Alvin and Louise at UBI will look after you at half the prices Wearnes charges. In fact Jaguar XJ series from 2004 onwards were rated 2nd most reliable luxury car behind LS460 in the US for 3 yeras running.

black equally jialat....

actually white is more jia lat than black.

black - the biggest issue is with shadows of water marks etc

white - you get the problem of the black as well as yellowish paintwork if you don't regularly polish the white car. and any dirt on the white car is very visible.

Join the website truedelta.com Good, independent site for car reliability comparison. Jaguar xf is more towards the unhappy smiley when it comes to reliability! I was considering it last year but steered clear

haha both are difficult but white is usually considered most difficult followed by black. some grooming centres actually charge more for white rides..

IMO black worse cuz water or bird dropping markings are more obvious. Swirl marks also.

I've owned black cars and mine currently is white. White's problem is mainly zebra stripes and road grime.

however, white rides can tend to turn yellowish after sometime if dun follow a strict regime of maintenance. I have lost count on the number of occasions where I spot a white ride which appear a bit yellowish upon closer examination.

Why a 2008 Jauguar selling at only $140,000, so cheap

At this price looks like I also can afford one :D

I think C.O.E. is just $1000+-,where got cheap.??

Agree. My XF gives me no reliability issues after more than a year. I like to drop by showroom for coffee though.

Hi there, I own a XFS - 3 litre Turbo Diesel for the past one and a half years - all I can say is; this is an all rounded fantastic car, reliable, performance was damp good-600 newton of torque and not that thirsty as compare to petrol car, comfortable, good handling, sporty look etc. seriously no complaints. I have own and driven 3 other Conti cars, korean and japanese cars before. I know where I stand.
