Vratenza Supersonic March 21, 2018 Share March 21, 2018 The current system for vcashcard that restrict the use solely for ERP is good. The situation when you got a complimentary carpark ticket to scan before the exit carpark gantry, we can at least remove the cashcard before approaching the gantry. But I just find it troublesome to have to insert cashcard when I need to pay carpark charges but way better than having to top up my cashcard so often. ↡ Advertisement
Vratenza Supersonic March 21, 2018 Share March 21, 2018 after almost 2 decades of driving....I got my 1st "No valid cashcard in IU" Love letter from LTA recently. Have always pride myself for being on the ball with the cash card top ups and making sure I have the cash card in place for deduction for each trip. That day I remembered removing the cash card to top up for the month, left in my pocket for the whole day, forgot all about it, drove home after a long tiring day. "Deeeeeeeeeeeeee" So that prompted me to try the vcashcard. Technically it is a totally FOC (UOB CC waived the $0.50 fee per topup of fixed $50 when your value falls below $10) failsafe measure since I can continue to use my physical cashcard and they will only deduct the vcashcard if they fail to deduct from the physical cashcard. what if .. you registered EZ pay and then you have the cash card in the IU. cross the gantry.. kana deduct two times.? i prefer the to keep the cash card way . i top up my cash car every month without fail 100$. can only have more in my card wont be not enough.
inlinesix Hypersonic March 21, 2018 Share March 21, 2018 For our small mkt, EZ-link & Cashcard should be consolidated. Issuance of chip-based cash card should be stopped. Otherwise merchants & customers will not move forward

Camrysfa Turbocharged March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 after almost 2 decades of driving....I got my 1st "No valid cashcard in IU" Love letter from LTA recently. Have always pride myself for being on the ball with the cash card top ups and making sure I have the cash card in place for deduction for each trip. It happens. Then some hassle to write to LTA for excuse from fine. I wonder whether they could tweak their ERP computers...... everytime someone passes a gantry and forgot to insert a card, there will be a grace of 30mins to insert a card and the sytem will make deductions and clear the offence. Put in a small slap to deter complacency to insert the card. The effort to send letters and motorist to appeal is a waste of time? smart nation... Xenosis Clutched November 7, 2018 Share November 7, 2018 (edited) Anyone using ez pay, can give some feedback on problems you encountered? for me, please take note that it takes awhile for ez link to make effective your ezpay facilities. example, even if the app shows that your ezpay has been activated , there is an effective date that is 1.5weeks from the day you register even though the app shows that you have succesfully activated it. today went through gantry without card and beep red on my IU. went in app to check and it says service is effective from 9 nov. very misleading. took for granted activated means can use liao. sigh.
