Convenient?

I only go in during the weekdays

I like it because it has a lot less people

I park near Sheng Siong and incur about $10 parking charge

Take train in and out, that's another $10

But it is alot less crowded

People are less likely to rush and push

I like it to feel slow and easy

When I see the number of people taking the bus, I don't like it Liao

Taking a bus from home is a lot cheaper

If the G steps in, I am quite sure this will happen:

1. G impose some dunno SMLJ tax or regulation

2. Milk powder companies will pass on the increased costs of compliance to consumers

3. G wins, milk powder companies win, parents lose

The price jump is scary, few years back is about 50 plus per tin and I already find it super expensive and I think in 1990s milk powder 1 tin cost 20plus bucks only. So do the math..

There are a lot of factors for the price increase, part of it I think is because of a lot of Singaporean treat their kids like king, so when it comes to milk cannot be stingy one. So the manufacturer of milk power knows this so increase price, there are still people willing to pay.

There is another factor which I feel is compliance cost. This one really can't say much as I not working over there. Surely there are cost involved to keep things in compliance. Then there are also cost involved in rental and etc.

Milk powder company now want to justify the price increase saying of improved formula that led the the increase. This is just an excuse only. But can't blame them as the news publish price increase is indeed scary. Good job on our local news. This one publish is good.

But.. This does not mean government should step in. The scary part is once government step in and regulate, it may make things worst. So now public are aware of the increase due to news publish. Who knows maybe some company sees this as an opportunity and create a milk power that is a lot less expensive and sell to the market. Of better still, due to public pressure and they may reduce price. No need government step in one.

Turbocharged

I think some of you guys. I don't really know what to believe what you all are referring to.

If u have a 62 dollar tin. It's almost 100 percent a 1.6kg tin. Or the Kim sang staff labeled wrongly and u win big...

my mistake.. i bought $62 from Jin Tai.. not Kim Sang.. mine is 1.8kg malaysia stock..

great. thanks for the clarification.

So outside, malaysia stock or in medical shops, it's about low 60/tin.
