Bad customer service attitude from Hankook

I have dumped Hankok months ago . . . when you order new tyre, service was good, after that, poor after-sales service, I make a quick guess and redeemed of the battery voucher for a new one, quickly sold off the car and changed HK tyre to BS.

End of story !

If the China lady at Woodlands tell me

Hankook Ventus ME01 is BETTER AND A REPLACEMENT for Hankook Ventus V12,

I blindly believed and go ahead for the ME01, despite of the higher price

feedback to Toh Guan and they agree it's NOT a good tyre as compared to V12,

Robert Tan, whose fault is this?

or you can be like me la ... each one of my tires costs $800 ... for that price ... whatever i ask tan chong do ... they do, and they always go the extra mile. im sure they also have to make money, but everytime i go to fill nitrogen(just when passing by), its free ... repairing of the tires also they settle very fast.

before this, i used to go to a tire shop along tanjong katong road ... just before the SPC ... the guy's name is ah hin. probably the most honest tire salesman i have ever met in my life ... even shoo me away telling me come back at xxxx km to change and after i come a few weeks later ... still say can drive, why change when still can tahan >< ... rotate also he do for free as customer service since my dad and i both buy tires from him. pity he cant do gtr ... otherwise most likely i would have gone back to him.

even pancit tire also he assist to jack up, repair, and then can tell me it wasnt much work and he will either not charge, or ask for $5...

to me .. thats the best customer service ive received ever fr tires man ... if u live nearby, maybe u shud go see him.

I didn't know this tyre shop so good.. n I live super near this shop but never patronise before. I know they open 365 days from 830am to7pm even during CNY.. next time will consider getting tyres from them depending on what brand they have.

Any idea what tyre brand do they sell?

Bro always do some research first. Do not believe their words esp those china ladies.

They are just there to promote and hardsell. Keep asking me to sign up for member. [mad]

just to share my view

this China lady works for the Company so she has to promote only their product (we all know well that are the official distributor in SIngapore)

And if 1 has choosen to go there looking for NEw tyre we have to expect them to promote the only brand tyre (hankook ?)

just like when we walk in to PML (BMW agent ) the sales Staff will tells you tons of story how good the Bimmer is (no choice that is thier bread and butter)

Every where we go (especially those consumer retail outlet all pushing for member ship ( I hate this most) so just polite tell me thankyou

Iknow we MAY benefit from the Membership dixcount in the futre BUT i will be tightdown or restrict my next shopping which i dont like

Neutral Newbie

I have been a Hankook member for the past 1.5 years and tried 2 sets of Hankook tires in the past 2 years, Ventus V12 and then Evo S1. No complaints about the tires and certainly nothing much about their service. Staff generally friendly and overall recommendations from there are ok, even when i need to change my damaged rims, i had a good deal.

recently went to try another korean brand, and feel that I should have stuck to Hankook. Quite like going back for the $6 car washes vaccum, free nitrogen refills and reasonable tire balancing rates. Wish the coffee machine was still working though.

I tink you replied to the wrong person.

I only had one issue which is the hardselling of membership. She keeps trying and trying despite me turning her down time after time.

Other than that I have no issue. I knew what I want and I got it changed there.

Labour cost is high in Singapore. If you want good and free services, JB will be a better place. I recently bought the Kumho KH31 form Tyrepac but I got it fitted in my usual JB workshop for free. Again, I have been patronizing them. So extra service does go the extra miles.

Hankook service used to be superb at least 5 years ago. I remembered I had a problem with my K105 and they sent someone to my apartment to get it fixed. I can't remember whether I pay for a fee but even then, it could have been very minimal till I've forgotten.

Regards,

How you managed to bring 4 x tires across MY customs?

Supercharged

Some months back I bought four V12 tires from Hankook's Kaki Bukit outlet. Today I went back there for tyre rotation. For straight forward front to back/back to front rotation, they charge $15. However as my tires wear on the inner edge (especially the front), I requested that the front tires be swop to the opposite side and place at the rear, and the back tires moved to the front (no swop). This is to even out the wear so that the tires last.

Bro, isn't V12 a directional tyre? How to cross rotate the front left to rear right and front right to rear left?

Directional tyre mean tyre should only rotate one way. If you take out the tyre and cross rotate, the tyre will be rotating backwards.

This problem with the China ladies will no longer exist. The China ladies just disappeared suddenly from hankook. Everyone of them except for one married girl whom I heard got married here if you do notice.
