Frankly, CHC people have a very bad reputation..they need to do something about what they are teaching..especially to the youngsters there...Pastor Kong Hee..this is for u..im not a church member anyway but I know roughly what goes on there..thats the level of notoriety

Agree, so far the discussion has not insult Christianity. Just merely criticizing the irks of the behaviour of some church members.

how do you have a discussion when the person is speaking fanatically? i have "friends" who forever pester you on fb. any disaster is related to religion and you are wrong if you don't go to church.

 

I cannot even go near this level of discussion when the minds are closed off.

i think Matt Dillahunty is a good eg of what I encounter locally. btw, many of my friends go to church. I can choose my friends, but not their religion.

Since we are on the topic let me relate my own personal experiences with CHC and its girls, many years ago I was approached by a pretty lady at marine parade who chatted me up and took my number, she persistently called me to join CHC, I rejected as I am a buddist for several weeks but eventually gave in as she kept calling me, no it was not because of her looks that I went if not I would have agreed straight away. So I went and it was quite a fun thing, singing, dancing, miracles sharing on stage, people miraculously recovered from illness just by praying to god, etc, etc...it was fine to share teachings and positivity but they spoke in tongues and I couldn't understand, eventually the craziness of it all just left me feeling suffocated and I left.
