actaully New creation church teach amazing grace, reliance on God, not propsperity gospel.

but City harvest teach releiance on self and focus on prosperity gospel.

so NCC and CHC are poles apart in their doctrine.

I had a conversation with my GF last night. When I meant GF, I refer to the real human female with nice C-cup tits and pussy, and not referring to my vehicle. [:p]

My GF has a collick who is a CHC convert. So this collick said that her cell group leaders said New Creation Church is on a "slippery road to the infernos of hell" because its member designed and built the infiniti pool on top of Marina Bay Sands, hence New Creation Church is supporting the vice of gambling! The collick also said Christians should band together to pray for New Creation Church.

I am like WTF. What's the link? [laugh]

So I asked my GF how's the likability of this collick. She said she and others would try to avoid that collick if possible unless bo bian because that collick carries the holy Bible around. LOL

This is scary stuff. I assume the CHC members will rise-up against the country if their pastor tell them to do so! Where's secularism? [mad]

Haha that collick better don't appear in front of me... [rifle]

Is there any pastor that likes God and poor people

more than money? Is there any pastor that likes to spend

time with poor people? Sick people? Homeless people?

Criminals? People with aids? Terminally ill people? Sinners?

Or only highly paid working people that can give money to their church?

CHC. What's new?

I went to CHC at the expo because a girl asked me to. Yeah i know i'm not going there for the right reasons. The minute i stepped in, the environment was really weird. Firstly people were actually trying to reserve seats. The next thing i noticed was how it was more of a rock concert rather than a place of worship. In my mind a place of worship is somewhere where there is peace and tranquility rather than loud music people jumping up and down.

What was really disturbing was the way the asked for donations. They seemed to be all out to get donations and even if you made the excuse that you didn't bring notes or coins, you can donate via credit card or cheque. My female friend threw in a 10 dollar note like that without hesitation. Maybe she believes in what the church is doing but i sure didn't and i wasn't convinced. the funny thing is that another new "member" to the group also threw in 10 dollars without hesitation. I asked her why she did so and if she really wanted to donate. Her reply was that she did it because everyone was doing it and didn't want to be the odd one out.

I didn't mind being the odd one out because i don't see the point of giving 10 dollars away without a proper reason. Would my 10 bucks go to the church or to the less fortunate? i personally don't find 10 bucks a lot of cash as i have absolutely no qualms about parking my car at SMU and having to pay more than 10 bucks for my parking. Rather it's about principle. Why am i giving money away when i have no idea what i'm giving it away for?

A few months later i bumped into that "new" member, amazingly she still goes to that church despite not knowing what being a christian is about. I just asked her a few questions about the church or her beliefs and it was obvious she merely went to that church to make friends and socialize. Believe it or not, there are lots of young people who go to church(CHC, NCC, etc) to socialize.

And yeah they will attempt to get your number so that one of the cell group leaders can call you to come for church. My response to such calls and texts was simple "I'll go to church when I wanna go. " I still meet up with that female friend who asked me to join her church every now and then. But of course our conversations are not about church. Of course there was this instance where she said CHC is better than NCC during the period where CHC was going to move to suntec. Is there really a need for competition between churches and what they teach? That kinda defeats the secular nature of our society.

why is that every time we have a thread on religion....immediately someone will suggest we shd close the thread and stop all discussion? Are we not mature enough to have a meaningful discussion and share some experiences....as far as i can see, there is no mud slinging against any religion in this thread....

As a society, we shd be able to progress and talk abt it, instead of just wrapping it and sweeping it under the carpet....

my posting was a true story that happened to me abt 10 years ago ... i dont see anything wrong with others sharing similar experiences....

Further, the topic here is NOT about religion. It's about the practice of members(ie people) of a particular church.

I think alot of people go there to socialize and get contacts. I went there with my friend also just to get to know more girls. Since i was from a boys school. Managed to get a GF from CHC and now she is my wife and we both not christians. We both stopped going there after we started dating. lol.

Comparing NCC with CHC is kind of strange.

Both are supposed to serve the same god, right?

kong hee fat choy's wife look like a pornstar in here music videos lor. All the gyrating w black men etc. What a role model man. It shows the tolerance of such crap by his church members, which means the church members themselves r open minded & fashion their own idealogy of christianity. Definitely Not the christianity which I think of.

ex Archbishop in Anglican church drives Nissan Sunny.

Drove a Sunny when Arch Bishop as well.

I notice the traditional churches seem more

to serve God than collect money.

The Catholic bishop of Johor drives a Myvi.

The traditional churches also cannot make

donation by credit card as far as I know.

Basically, I'd rather to have a Solomon's temple with a Pastor leader that drives a Lao Pok Chia and lives simply than a Solomon's Temple with Pastor leader that earns 500k/year and lives like a King.
