By the way, its SDP; NSP and other parties still active??

Wonder why WP don wan to invite other parties' potential people into them...... example Nicole Seah....

SDP and NSP are very active. SDP reguarly conducts walk abouts in Sembawang GRC and Tanjong Pagar GRC recently and also organises political work shops. They even had a health care panel comprising of health care professionals who came up with a series of healthcare proposals.

NSP is quite active in Marine Parade. They even hold free legal clinics for Singaporeans who need professional legal advice but is too poor to engage one.

Cannot anyhow suka suka poach other party's talents to your own party one you know. Will create dissent and disharmony about opposition parties. Unless is the member who chose to leave his or herself, then its a different story. So unless Nicole Seah wishes to resign from NSP, or else I dun see how she would become a member of WP. [;)]

Won't merge one. Diff parties has diff political vision and agendas. Politicians are very strong headed. Each won't burge nor give in. Want to merge, who will be the leader of the merged party? Play sicssor, paper, stone to select?

These ppl are not paid to do all these things. They come with very strong will and idealism. Not easy to deal with.

It's unlike private biz corporations. I buy over a smaller company and merge. And I make someone the new CEO and whatever. In biz world, money speaks.

Wow like that I old and working in food court wiping tables still cannot see democracy?

its ok, while the alternate parties take time to mature and grow, sgp will still be taken care of by old pxp (who will still have just enough seats to run the country), checked by the alternative parties in the house..... i also dont want alternative parties run the country prematurelly...... they can be watchdogs (over pxp) and learn the rope, this takes time.

Basically, NO I would not vote out of gratitude.

I would vote based on who I thought was best.

Very interesting. I have spoken to a few converted citizens friends. They expressed the exact same sentiments. I think the PAP may be over-leveraging on the pool of new citizens if that is indeed their strategy. However, it must be noted that I only bother hanging out with those who are interested in assimilating with the locals and that may be a factor.
