The big question the ruling party should seriously ask themselves is this: What will happen come GE2016?

Everything status quo since they have already apologized?

Or will there be fundamental shift in their policies and have shown so?

I could only recall WKS to be the one ever apologised for mistake made. Others just blamed the citizens for electing them, with one way or another.

Actually, in terms of qualifications and capabilities, DC deserves to be in the parliament compared to TPL.

If he was the one who gets waltzed into the party, there would have been lesser hooha.

You meant he more likely to be corrupted? I disagree. PM said they all the same potential if not paid high salary

She made him a failure?

Failure needs more influences to become success, maybe her influences need GIC board's approval first, not in time for the byElection

Am wondering who would the PxP send to contest in Aljunied on 2016.

Would they send a super-strong team or would they just assemble a normal team there?

I believe PM already knew the result [laugh]

Perhaps they missed out the details: a hundred PAP voters

maybe after all the 'supporters' appeared on CNA were 'borrowed' from mediacorp's drama series' care-leh-fairs team.... doing their NS for pxp.. :o

Yes. Agree with you. A political analyst said TCH tactic actually back fire as his smearing of PEH actually shows that PAP has not changed and as a result, many votes who were undecided who to vote b4 the polling day, were annoyed by TCH and decided to vote against the PAP.

+ PM already condemed TCH's intergrity

A lot of people are annoyed.

Now, the result also shows that even if WP didn't send in the best candidate, it could still win PxP's so-called best available candidate by a large margin.

PxP ended up creating an own goal for itself.

Well done [laugh]

Only thing that has changed was last time WKS was the one who reprised the role of the tough talker. Now this mantle fell to TCH.

actually PM's last min apology during last GE may have helped prevented the loss of Joo Chiat. With them winning by only over 200 votes, it is possible that his apology helped to soften the stance of some voters against them as a whole.

Was it assumption/imagination that he apologised? He only challenged us to prove him wrong. Now Hougang again lost to opposition. Will he repent his mistake that he was and is still wrong?
