I sense in 50 years time, ppl will remember LTK as the founder of democracy in SG.

Plus ONE!!

Also my sincere thanks and salute to the residents of Hougang who standby what they believe in behind LTK despite pxp's persistent refusal to give them upgrades even though these residents, our fellow Singapore, pay taxes just like the rest of Singapore!! Pxp can treat them as 2nd class citizen just becoz they vote for democracy, but this will go down in history of Singapore as the dark side of our nation.

DPM TCH is wrong to say that HG does not represent Singapore !

In fact, HG is the Singapore that we used to know and one that many of us are proud of !!

Hope WP will expand their foot prints into east coast, joo chiat etc in GE2016.

Sweet victory for Png Eng Huat!

HG is the stock Singapore in terms of spirit of fairness, democracy, people's power!!! tch prefers modified cars................ by only if the cars are modified by pxp-workshop.

i think saying ltk is the founder of singapore democracy is not being respectful to the rest of opposition...

there are plenty of others who pave the way before ltk make HG the WP strong hold...

Ruling party should seriously reflect on themselves and ask why the big difference in spirit and atmosphere between the 2 camps... The HG spirit has spread to Aljunied... such spirit is what all about for a country and community. I think there is already a solution to improve national cohesiveness... Just have by-elections every 6 months for every SMC..

Jokes aside, this is quite correct!!! [thumbsup]

Why so? becasue pxp choose not to see things but stick to the mentality of "Emporer's New Dress".... [hur]

Hougang residents are FIRST CLASS SINGAPORE CITIZENS. It is the other places who are 2nd class citizens.

Especially the GRC that voted dumb-dumb into parliament.

A very BIG THANK YOU to Mr Low Thia Khiang, for standing firm for the last >20 years as well as your contributions to fellow Singaporeans.

You have sacrificed your most precious youthful years for the meaningful course. We appreciate it.

And he wasnt a President Scholar or an elite, but just a person who tells us he wants to see Singapore remain a true democratic country and the common people's vocies be heard and taken seriously.

The big question the ruling party should seriously ask themselves is this: What will happen come GE2016?

Everything status quo since they have already apologized?

Or will there be fundamental shift in their policies and have shown so?

Don't think the ruling party will be overly concern. If anything, they just have to let loose the immigration policy even further. We all know who new immigrants will vote for. Then there are the elite and the bosses who benefitted. So all in, they still stand a pretty good chance regardless of whatever policies they implement.

No, plus PM himself. He even came to hougang to shake hands with residents. His face still not big enough for voters to change their votes

Wifey's also accompanied him..... an influential woman as rated globally.

Yes, all PRs support PAP. But they may do so for the first 5-10 yrs or so only. If after living here for long term and they start to realised PAP screwed up so badly in various policies and they are at the wrong end of it, they will also start considering whether to give their vote to PAP so easily. At least I know of a friend who came from Indonesia and after some years of residing in Singapore, she also got very turned off the PAP and openly state that she will vote for opp if she gets to vote in next election.

I had a colleague or friend who was a PR and become citizen some years back. Initially she voted for PAP 2 elections back. Then I think she was "enlightened in some ways" (which I do not know or privy to) and at GE 2011, she voted for opposition and she was proudly announcing that to everyone of us, especially the Singaporeans. [laugh][laugh]

Actually, in terms of qualifications and capabilities, DC deserves to be in the parliament compared to TPL.

If he was the one who gets waltzed into the party, there would have been lesser hooha.

today I spoke with a few PRs over lunch.

All said if they become citizen they will vote Pap. Because they are where they are, meaning ,successful in SG is due to the policies that helped them achieve their dreams.

While all of you celebrate this win for WP, the next strategy of Pap has already begun to secure their stronghold over a majority of parly seats.

You guys just watch and see the subtle increase in the number of citizens and the decline of FTs and PRs..

From massaged number game.

We're screwed.

I heard about this many times already.
