Anyone of you ever thought of taking the bus ?

yes, i had recently switched from driving to taking bus

I too took bus when I know the parking is terribly difficult to get and the distance not too far.........rather than feel downgraded I felt relax as I do not need to drive and hunt for carpark..........

I take mrt and/or bus to work. More convenient. Can relax my mind from bad drivers.

 

Every other day will lunch with wife at orchard and then train home. Stays just one station away. U should try driving around newton area during peak hours and realize for yourself how bad it is

Such exaggeration. By your logic, a lot of people in Singapore are very courageous, because a lot of people take bus everyday.

 

This is one of another silly Singaporean mentality. Think take public transport is low class or downgrade. In other countries, people in city use public transport as a way of life, as its just more convinence.

Public transport are much much less stressful, especially in Singapore, where roads are machaim like racetrack.

I have been taking buses and MRT quite frequently. Nowadays you have gadgets like iPad, iPhone to entertain you which doesn't exist when I got my car 7 years back. I don''t see it as a downgrade. A lot of executives earning many times more than me are taking public transport too.

Quite true as i find the roads here have become like racetrack! Driving nowadays really makes my blood boil! Taking bus sometimes not bad, can get to see many things tht when driving cannot have the chance to see. But provided that the bus driver dont drive like F1 driver la, if not i rather drive. :p

Orhh bus. I thought take a lot of chio bu. One bu (singular) many bus (plural).

 

I cannot take bus (transport) because I get motion sickness, yes even for a 5mins trip. WEAH!! Face turn green. I'm not bluffing. Worse come to worse, if boh pian I will bring along a big packet of sng buays, like preggy one me.

I take the bus only about 3-4 occasions a year; when I send/collect cars from servicing.

 

I would turn down service agents' offer to call a cab for me as

this provide me with the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone.

Sometimes I experienced motion sickness due to the bad driving!

Really ar? Even 5 mins bus ride and your face turn green??? Then how you travel overseas? Or go to airport etc?

Bus 700 and Bus 966 are crazy.

 

Every morning both buses are packed to the brim and passengers need to stand at the stairs of the front door.

With such load, both buses would then head towards PIE and travel on the expressway for a long distance.

 

The buses are really waiting for accidents to happen, and if it happens, I can't imagine the consequence.

I thought they have improved on the frequency of buses during peak hours? Looks like jammed packed bus during peak hours still havent change!
