Acemundo Supercharged May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 (edited) but somehow pps got quite a few selection which historically doesn't work very well for me in the past. but somehow now i am inching towards paying starhub a high subscription just to watch a few match, but assessing if all options exhausted before signing up. no choice, football addict here. The_Bear Turbocharged May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 hehe same here. i wanted to share with my brother who house is minutes drive away and thinking i could just watch the earliest match which i had earlier presumed to be about 10pm or 11pm local time. now i realise the first match is 12am. it seriously changed the consideration some bit. thinking whether to sign up now I just take it that I am stupid enough to wager $69.55 on England to win the Championship and lost terribly. At least I get to watch them lose.
Yuan 6th Gear May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 (edited) England went from a traditional footballing nation with good goalkeepers (Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Ray Clemence, David Seaman) to now short of capable goalies (who can think of another good English keeper other than Hart?) Spain has to be the best in goalkeeping now (Casillas, Valdes, Reina, De Gea) Anyone remember what Robert Green did the last summer competition? [laugh] haha i like such "+ve" thinking! maybe i can console myself if i pay $69.55 i can win back more than this amount in bet winnings! it does help in bet winnings if i watch the games and know which team strength lies. if i don't subscribe i save the $69.55 but lose out on bet winnings

Tonyhawk 1st Gear May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 Jap Kor 2002 was not too shabby if not for a certain divine bucktooth and the flapping pony tail. does that mean if you mix it up you get a roberto baggio and a Luis Suarez?

Haziqko Clutched May 25, 2012 Share May 25, 2012 As above. Which team do you support and who is your supported players. Lets discuss it here. First few teams comes to every peoples minds usually will be in this order. 1)ENGLAND(totally over rated) 2)SPAIN 3)GERMANY 4)PORTUGAL 5)ITALY. Power houses in EURO right? Of all I see Spain is on fire. Germany has always been tactically sound. Both teams usually will reach the SEMIs. Portugal have lots of gifted footballers. Italy has lots of old players. And England has.... Coming Euro... just forget about all these teams i say. Instead watch out for players such as PISZCZEK, BLASZCYKOWSKI and LEWANDOWSKI who are playing for POLAND. As most of these Polish are playing in top leagues, mainly in Germany(Dortmund,Hannover,WB.), France(Sochaux,Mainz) and even BRITAIN(Arsenal,Celtic). They are versatile and will be the ones who will adept very quickly to different types of play due to their leagues exposure. This team has a good combination of experienced and young players who can play as a team. So i predict this team will be the surprise package and will see them goin thru to the last 4, ahead of traditional teams like England or Holland and maybe even Portugal and Germany. It'll be a nice change at least.
Scion Turbocharged May 28, 2012 Share May 28, 2012 they should place Greece in Group C together with Spain, Italy and Ireland so the nations in deep debts can play together

Damienic 5th Gear June 5, 2012 Share June 5, 2012 My prediction: Winner: Germany Semi Favourites: Holland, Spain Dark Horse: France Players to watch: Mesut Ozeil (Germany) Franck Ribery (France) Fernando Torres (Spain) Arjen Robben (Holland) Ozeil is a class act and one of the best attacking midfielders in the world at the moment. Both Ribery and Robben will need no extra motivation to perform for their country after the champs league final disappointment last month. Why Torres? He is actually starting to turn on his form in last two months and is among one of the freshest player at the tournament having been used sparingly by Chelsea. With Villa out injured, he will be fielded in the first team and will be one of the player to watch in this tournament. No Ronaldo for me. He usually doesn't play well in international tournament and Portugal is going out in the first round anyway in the Grp of Death. It may sound ridiculous but Eng's player to watch could just be Carroll. Eng should still qualify for 2nd round but that is the furthest they will go. Maldini03 1st Gear June 5, 2012 Share June 5, 2012 England are always the favourite for the last 10 years but their records say otherwise. They are not technically sound. Their player are fast and strong but always pump high ball to rooney. I dun think they will win, they furtherest the went are quarterfinal. In 2002 world cup they were eliminated by brazil in the quarterfinal who went to lift the cup In 2004 Euro, they were eliminated by Portugal inquarterfinal In 2006 world cup they were eliminate by Portugal again in quarterfinal In 2008 Euro, they did not qualify. In 2010 world cup they were thrashed 4:1 by germany in round of 16 Germany are great. They are very technical and posses great tactical sense. Fast and strong and good teamwork and passing. Whichever team they loss to go on to win the cup. They are the team to beat. In 2002 world cup they loss in the final to Brazil. In 2004 euro, they didnt get pass group stage In 2006 world cup they loss in the semi final to italy who then went on to lift the cup In 2010 euro they loss in the final to Spain who then went on to lift the cup. In 2010 world cup they loss in the semi final to Spain who then went on to lift the cup. Spain, needless to say, apart from technical and tactical sense they have great partnership to play their tiki taka way of soccer, lately, they won 2008 euro, 2010 world cup. they are the defending champion. Conclusion I support the best team that has not won the world cup...but I bet my $$ on germany and spain. heehee ↡ Advertisement
