Sturtles 6th Gear February 24, 2016 Share February 24, 2016 Hi Guys, USD FD at UOB bank is nearly 0.8% PA, and I already have a small USD acct there doing nothing earning paltry 0.05%... Problem is there are tiered interest rates, and I am thinking of converting some SGD to USD to hit better deposit rates... What is the best way to do this? The rates by UOB is not so good, as compared to mustafa.. a loss of about 6 pips... Would it be sound to convert at mustafa in cash, and top up the account in cash together with my leftover USD from trips? Not the best time to change USD, but I think it should rise in the medium term, and I can use it for insurance payments
