Anyone has this issue?

Previously handbrake can hold on at slope with just two clicks when i pull it up.

Now with 3 clicks it barely holds on well at the same slope at SIM old entrance.

Any idea how much it may cost to fix/replace?

3-4 clicks for handbrake to hold the car on slope is o.k.,my car needs 7 clicks to hold the car..

How to increase its stopping power on a moving car ?

Cheapest and most effective way is change to a higher friction brake pads but they put out a lot of dust if you don't mind washing rims.

Handbrakes are usually cable operated.

It can be sharing the same rear caliper/drum as your hydraulic brakes, or a dedicated caliper/drum setup away from the hydraulic brake setup.

Usually after sometime, the cable slacks and some adjustment is required to tighten the pull of the handbrake.

Adjust the hand brake cable. It's FOC....

WS will just tighten it.

Correct, just tell them during the next servicing.

Most manufacturers recommends 3 clicks. But 7-clicks still can hold car on gentle slope. Go workshop if you unable to adjust the cable tension yourself
