Torquemonster 1st Gear May 21, 2012 Share May 21, 2012 (edited) does not seems like the taxi bang the biker. most cases where rider kana pin is due to coming car not able to brake in time and pin him. on expressway, those biker lost balance or control either due to own fault or another motorists and falls to the ground, they are most likely to be pin by the cars/lorries behind who can't stop in time and then pin them. so like this is the fault of the car/lorry that pinned the biker? i remember some months back someone posted a video of a biker entering kpe tunnel and lost control of his bike and landed on the road. the car following him behind had a video cam and car owner managed to stop in time. had the car driver not stop in time and pinned the biker, the fault become the car owner?good that he had the video cam onboard as evidence. If car driver cannot stop in time and pinned the biker, its most likely the car driver fault because the car driver failed to maintain a safe following distance. Car driver need to learn to maintain a safe distance especially when following a biker because they have little or no protection and if anything bad happen to the biker you would be able to stop in time. Safe distance for 80 kmh is actually 50 meters. Based on some European 3 second rule.
