How to improve phone 3G signal?

Your normal so called 3G plan in SG support data carriage by HSDPA which is denoted by H+, HSDPA is a data only transmission so it does not support voice traffic. 3G supports both data and voice.

 

Usually, 3G is used as a parking frequency for idle smartphones or tablets or dongles when there is no concurrent data transmission. Once you start to use the phone to surf however, you can see your phone shift from 3G to H+. I rarely see the telcos using the 3G frequency bands to convey data, mostly H+.

I keep getting dropped signal from 3G to 2G, which my mobile apps like Facebook would hang.

 

Are there ways or devices to boost this signal?
