Galantspeedz Turbocharged May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 Lolx. Actually no particular reason. The rest of the Managers that are mention to replace KD have manage BPL team before, maybe this is just my feeling for choosing DD. Bro Galantzspeed, Deschamps now managing Marseille I believe. Anyway, can still tap him if interested. Last time, I think Deschamps was rumour for the post too after RB was sacked. oh france is laurent blanc.... i mixed them up
Shorty Turbocharged May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 martinez is managing wigan, which has fought against relegation for 2 seasons in a row. he only managed to survive with a gd run of games towards end of season. that's y many fans do not want him. after getting roy, who has manged only small tems, fans do not want another small team manager. Jamesc Hypersonic May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 RDM romantically brought Chelsea to the UCL Final playing the most negative football I have seen vs Barcelona. If he wins it, he should be kept by Chelsea. If we look at Chelsea league form under the 2, AVB did better. Under RDM Chelsea played 10, won 4, draw 3, lost 3 Thats only because he played his reserved team against us (Liverpool) If he played his FA Cup final team against us, it would be Chelsea played 10, won 5, draw 3, lost 2 and thats 1.8 points per game and better than AVB 1.7. As for playing against Barca, thats the way to play against them, if he tried to out pass them, he would not be going to the finals. A good manager plays to the strength of his team not to the strength of the opposition.
Fooblack Supercharged May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 Good point bro. Many fans are worried about Martinez because of the nightmare we had under Woy. Though he is not my top choice, I will still back him if FSG decides on him. My faith came from the fact that FSG is seeking advise from footballing people. Christian was listening to jornos to when he appointed Woy. Martinez experimented with a 3-4-3 formation in Wigan. Not sure if he will do it here if he gets the job. Very refreshing tactical formation I must say. maybe true.. we are all still hurting cos of Woy... for the record, Woy certainly has the credentials and long history of mgmt exp.. but largely related to small or mid-table clubs or smaller international teams then .. no a real winner in my view... that's why we are concerned with Martinez.. no doubt talented and able to bring the best out of a mediorce club.. but his lack of experience at a top club may be an issue.. if fans are not on board, he will face pressure from fans, owners and results.. judging by the trigger-happy mgmt style of the owners.. the moment the new mgr is caught in a bad run of losing games, a young inexperience mgr may immediately start to panic and stop thinking longer term.. Dalgish, to his credit, never really panicked, continued to protect the young players and blood them to get them up to speed... he was hoping for more time and turn of fortunes but it never came. a mgr with more experiences, wins, championships (and $ in the bag) will be more cool under pressure... that's why I still prefer a bigger name like AVB or Pep.. I just hope proper due diligence is being performed on the eventual choice.. martinez honestly dun appeal to me as a significiant upgrade from KD.. period. there are rumours that up to 8 names are being considered.. i hope this is true cos i was really feeling rock bottom when the only official news on soccernet was the Martinez was cleared for the interview.. Jamesc Hypersonic May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 We dun call him king kenny for nothing. He screw up but we still love him. Screwed up? He won more than Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs put together. Only 3 teams in England won silver ware, Liverpool, Chelsea & Man City. All the other teams won nothing. We also went to 2 finals, 2 more than Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs put together. Tonyhawk 1st Gear May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 (edited) erm, so are you saying RDM played to the strength of barca or to the strength of chelsea? anyway, it doesnt matter, the best manager must consider Everything. The intricacies of player positions, IMO, are beyond me. Jamesc Hypersonic May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 The reason Liverpool are not in the Top 4 is we hit the wood work 37 times. Next season all our miss hit shots, slices, and miss hit penalties will all go in and they will say the next manager is a genius.
Fooblack Supercharged May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 (edited) We dun call him king kenny for nothing. He screw up but we still love him. i believe it is cos the way he carried himself and given 100% to the club. we can have zero doubts over his love and dedication to the club. the way he has spoken well of the owners despite his grievances.. it shows that he only wants the club to do well irregardless whether he is still the mgr. The last thing is to cause divisions among the fans.. that's why Ayre kept emphasising that Kenny is the unifying factor during the worst period of recent history for pool. Sorry bro, but I would not agree that if RDM is to field the same team against us in the league, they will beat us in that game. There is no guarantee and we cannot assume that way. So we can only compare the stats as it is. I am not condemning him playing negative football. Just to say that there is nothing to crow about. If he had took the game to them, outplay and outclass them, then I will say he is good. If not, he is just doing what most manager will do when come face to face with Barcelona - park bus. Meanmachine Supercharged May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 L'pool management is behaving unprofessionally, getting worse than before, football manager/s are not god, if players performed badly, manager get the sack, wad if manager/s performed better than expected, does the boss get the sacked? Look @ Arsenal, ManUtd, Everton, these managers has bn there for ages, The way things are happenings at Chelsea, City, Pool, are uncalled and unjust. Totally unbecoming of the era, Money cannot buy winners, they may be filthy rich, but not managed by british club, but business empire who knows nuts about football, let aline kick one ball. They only pump in dirty money to spoilt the rot of player's mind, which football dun like $$$ ? It is like a rich father who buy toys for his kids, they get what they wanted, but has poor money management, spends like an idiot, yet has nothing up there. City win over their arch enemy does not equate to champions, year in year out will be another new champion, I have nothing against City or Pool supporters, as a football fan, I've watch entertaining game and enjoyed whichever team play attacking football. Wad happened to King Kenny only go down history that it takes time to makes player gel, get the desired results and win cup, it 's all that simple. Honestly, I do not think L/pool will benefit if they sack Kenny, the next best manager to take over will be more difficult as ' ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY." THe players are equally responsible for the fall of Pool too, Do just blame the manager/s which ever club has professional boss, owner/s can understand simple logics, & human mankind, sooner the musical-chair game will surely run out of fire. ↡ Advertisement
