Wild crocodiles spotted at Sungei Buloh

A STOMPer spotted two wild crocodiles resting at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in the span of a week.

Also known as estuarine or saltwater crocodiles, they have been spotted several times at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, although these sightings are not common. They are considered indigenous to the region and can grow up to a length of 8m long, with a diet consisting mostly of fish.

Crocodiles are often confused with Malayan water monitor lizards, which are shy, non-venomous reptiles that sometimes make an appearance in large canals.

"This 1.3 metre crocodile was seen resting last weekend at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

"Another crocodile, more than 2 metres long, was also seen basking in the sun earlier in the day."

Actually not surprising, if you go to the wetlands reserve @ sungei buloh you would see a lot more. Very interesting as a family trip, something different from movies and shopping centre.

My family does take trips to kranji countryside to look at the farms and also do a little longkang fishing.
