What happens when they can't pay debt collector?

Just curious if anyone knows what happens when a maid (domestic helper) can't pay their debt collector? Is it simply a matter of them leaving town and then escaping the debt, or does it catch up to them in their home country too?

Read sometime back, in Indonesia, Citibank summon such customer to their bank and kill him there? Is this what you want to know?

Not likely that the creditor will attempt to recover outside Singapore, unless significant amount is involved which is not likely the case if the debtor is a maid.

small amounts , try to collect from the maid agency which endorse or employer.

 

Big amounts , typically try to outsource. Anyway how much can maids borrow ?
