I thought the brake should be designed to overcome the engine power?

Why no change to neutral?

Why no off engine?

I guess driver too panic to even react properly.

Change to Neutral? You sure you know how to drive? Changing to neutral does not help to reduce speed faster. Lower the gear does.

Off engine? and steering got Lock? then bang harder without even able to steer?

I like your sarcasm.

Change to neutral + press brake confirm stop faster than just pressing brake.

But just pressing brake alone should be able to stop the car, full throttle or not.

This mech explains what to do in such situations ... just shift into neutral ... turning off the engine is a very very bad idea ...
