If HDBs are built there , HDB new transaction price will be 2.5 mil per unit, condos and landed there will be up by anlther 30%😄

RTC land size is only around 130k sf, iirc, too small for a regular HDB project.

and its just opposite SCGS, confirm within 1km, private developers will sure want to bid one.

Because those Rich Atas People in Bukit Timah..won't like Normal Citizens..near the place they stayed..esp those Rich Indonesians..

Reinstatement works 7 digits cost as there are 3 levels of basement car park to make good and deep piles to remove (if required).

Wah in that case gg already.... Oh and i believe sure got Electrical Substation on premise. SP charge to decomm and remove the ESS will be another near $100k also...

The club need to accrue reinstatement cost.  This question will come out during AGM.

I just find it a horrendous waste that Singapore keeps tearing down places that are only 10-20 years old.

Really difficult to build any heritage like this. And also very bad forward planning.

This place is 30years old. Many industrial buildings also have 30-40years leases. 
some heritage sites are good but too many is also a tough job to maintain. 
in the end, there has to be some time limit for the lease. In order to give the flexibility for repurposing land.

What waste.?The whole Rochor Centre also gone after 40 Years.

RTC opened in 2000 leh. By the time lease is up in 2026 is only 26 years.

There are others too. Kranji Turf Club opened in 1999, close next year (25 years). JCube 11 years. Budget Terminal 6 years.

errr, you can only start development when you own the land. 1996-2000 you need to build the damn buildings right? 30years lease la.
