Last time, the older folks have this tale that as the monks do a lot of good deeds, their cremated remains have a lot of she li zhi (basically those crystals you mention). I think all these monks suffered from some form of kidney and/or bladder stones, prob due to their diet. 🤣

The last abbot had 7 crystals when they cremated him, if you remember. when i read that, it reminded me of "The Adventures of Tintin, the 7 crystal balls". :D:D:D

Means people getting richer and so young people eat better.

But its not really better because its full of meat.

Being poor and eating more veg and less meat is so much better.

Turbocharged

Excessive sugar intake leads to chronic inflammation, leading to to a host of other illnesses including heart diseases, insulin resistance etc. Gout is like the least of problems.

The next generation those 20 years old to late 30s are in the high risk group because they feel that youth is invincibility.

Then they go for health check up and the results scare the shit out of them.

Just sharing my recent experience.. had my blood test back in Nov 2021 and my uric acid recorded the lowest i have since years ago.. ard 6.x

In dec bo tai bo chi my left knee swell like dunno wat.. at that time i don't think is gout as my diet n uric acid in control.. i thot could be meniscus problem as i had 2 surgery (10 years apart) before on my right knee and the pain seem similar

went company doc immediately asked me go A&E..

A&E doc said is gout flare so give me 7 days mc.. and saw a orthopedic a week or 2 later.. still said gout.. he said low uric acid doesn't mean no attack.. but all these while from the flare no test blood..

Today went to my doc to collect my monthly gout medication and narrated what happened.. he said this is pseudogout.. aka fake gout.. wah biang.. still got fake de..
