Tcx607 4th Gear April 27, 2012 Share April 27, 2012 Hi bro,I am sorting between these two tire for my Civic. I like to toss my ride during leisure drive. Also, I like to test the traction for corners instead braking. For NSHW, I always push my ride to redline. From magz, Evo S1 score high compare to bridgestone S001.Tks you for advance inputs ↡ Advertisement

Tommimakinen Clutched April 27, 2012 Share April 27, 2012 hi there... i used to use s1 evo... superb in cornering... grip is good, rain or shine... during rain, maintain 110-120kmh no problem... aqua planning, no problem, smooth.... wear rate nt bad... down side is aft 20k, tires damn noisy... 120kmh at nsh noise level very loud... on radio also cant hear anything... now using ps3 and i can say grip is not as good s1 evo but quieter... not planning to use it on next set of tires... never tried bs b4 but considering is on my next tires... maybe re002 or s001... but if youre for 225/45/17 or high size, consider the asym 2... they are the best feedback in tire review uk... Dscheng 3rd Gear April 27, 2012 Share April 27, 2012 Currently using S001, sidewall very hard. Good for cornering.
Tcx607 4th Gear April 27, 2012 Author Share April 27, 2012 If Evo S1 tire noise threshold is after 20K mileage, I can accept it for the attractive price. More importantly, I want confidence in wet weather on this tire. I believe the side wall must be stiff compare to RE002. However, RE002 tire is a little less noisy
Trusty 1st Gear May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 s1 has really soft side walls. prone for patchings.. i have no confidence in cornering as it feels like floating i am also considering the re002. btw im on 235/45/17. how much is it? ↡ Advertisement
