WML888 2nd Gear April 26, 2012 Share April 26, 2012 Need help here. Is this normally caused by faulty Supercharger ? If not, what need to be fixed ? Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement
KVR666 Neutral Newbie April 26, 2012 Share April 26, 2012 I don't own a Benz, but from the photo, that area you highlighted appears to be where the camshafts are. They should be attached to the sprockets where the timing chain/belt drives the cams. Could be a leak on the cover that encloses the timing chain/belt. Or could simply be a rocker cover gasket that's leaking. Your supercharger should be the unit attached on the right of the picture, where your air intake piping leads to. W210k 1st Gear April 26, 2012 Share April 26, 2012 That section highlighted has got nothing to do with the external supercharger module (where the CAI hose is directly connected to). That section is where the DOHCs are located. Valve/seal leakage likely. Get workshop to open up the cylinder head to check.

Gnahp Turbocharged February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 That's the infamous camshaft position sensors leak of the older M271 engine. the oil will mitigates along the wires, to the main harness and sometimes ECU and O2 sensors, throwing all kinds of error codes.
