just booked a mazda 5 over the weekend, with a 14k+ discount from the carnival, effictive paper price is 146K++, which i personnaly is very worth it, IMHO, most practical of the above mentioned lot...parts easy n cheaper than say renault or opel...bigger space than the opel...

before i was also aiming at the opel many many gadgets...panoramic roof...adjustable sun shade..etc, etc., but then oc prefer the sliding door...and the comfort of the M5..

FYI, the baisc cost of M5 based on 28K OMV, and 82K COE is about 146K already!!!!

Above only MHO, please do not flame me!

Cheers!

Yes really. The sliding doors are a godsend in our increasingly tight parking spaces.

what i know is most mazda have high fuel consumption. RX8, CX7 ,Mazda 3, Mazda 6 Mazda 5 the whole range

You know because you drove the car before right?

i agree that mazda used to have higher fuel consumption than other similiar cars, however the trade off is a fanstastic road holding capability without sacrificing the comfort level much, its basically a driver's car...you will know what i mean if you have driven a mazda before..

prior to this new car i was driving a civic 2.0, power! no doubt! but the handling sucks....feel like "turtling" on most corners when only slightly faster than normal....

Have driven the zafira tourer...good handling but...rock hard suspensions make my pregnant wife very uncomfortable....

the newer mazda cars's fuel consumption is better than the old cars, and is very acceptable with a range for the M5 at about 10-12 km/ltr, this is ok for me for such a big car...

again IMHO!

Cheers!

"one needle sees the blood"

Mazda suffers from their reputation almost as badly as Alfa. All the my grandfather's uncle's cousin's friend's grandfather's auntie's niece's son said it's bad. <_<

yeah u r quite right, but unless u have driven 1 before... u will not realise what you have been missing, used to drive a M2 back in 2004 to 2008, love that car's handling..spacious for a small car..and looks amazing even now whenever i see the same model again on the roads...

I prefer to call it them Mz2 Mz3 etc. Don't wanna be accused of being wannabe [:p]

Yea, I like the look of the old Mz2 over that of the new one actually.

nice feedback and glad 12km/l is achievable! hehe, regarding the suspensions, actually its not soft that you feel the vibrations...it actually the opp! for suspensions you can feel more of the humps and bumps if yours is hard..., for me i feel it is actually quite comfortable comparing to the Zafira Tourer which i also test drove...it is rock hard like the JDM Civic type R if you have ride in 1 before...

I just signed on the dotted line..duno when can collect my car....will keep in touch ya

Well, when you get a MPV, 99% of the time the reason is it's for the family. To me, folding the seats down will give u a super spacious wagon!

Driving MZ5, love the handling, i felt more spacious than wish, but the FC is killing me..made worse by changing to 17 inch.

Backside itchy for another mpv again.. [:/]

thanks for the write up...now need to see the real thing...the zafira tourer that is...

Go look at all. Each has its pro's and con's. What I listed was based on my own likes and dislikes. For e.g. if your priority is speed, then the S Max is it, 3rd row AC, 5008 or C4, v.high milage driving, Grand Scenic Diesel, price, Touran, etc.
