looks like probably is the power steering pump. have your guys replace the Ps pump fluid as per schedule?

I changed mine last year. Abt 120K km. I cant remember exact details.

I also added a bottle of PS stop leak as a precaution.

I not sure how true but some ppl say can lock or limit the steerling radius so won't have the noise. maybe you can ask ws if it possible.

anyone change steering pump before can advise how much is it??

call up stockist for the price of the parts and then ask your workshop how much they want to charge in total (parts + labour)

Me too , the screeching sound will only be heard only when I full turn the steering wheel till lock - Left & Right. I will try not to fully turn to the very end then no sound will be heard... -_-

Haizzzzz.....

Nothing wrong with your sterring rack nor your steering pump nor any part of your car for this matter. Its just your relef valve blowing when at full lock. So don't turn full lock and back off 1/4 turn. And don't listen to quacks. They will drain your pockets.

Neutral Newbie

Been there done that..here is the solution...

Flush away your old power steering fluid and just add new fluid. Trust me tis will works...nothing mechanical defects actually, its probably your steering pump fluid got choke due to prolong usage. Ensure that the mechanic fully drain the old fluid by flushing.

Good luck

Is this true? In my Suzuki Swift (ZCS71s) I got similar problem + steering wheel not returning after turning to left side (Right side is OK).

I replaced steering rack, bearings, lower arms and links and then aligned the wheels. But still steering wheel is not returning. After replacing these items I got this Screeching sound when steering wheel fully turned. Now wheel touching the underarm when turning fully. (The turning angle of the wheel is different (I can turn the steering wheel 1 and 3/4 for one side but for other side, it is 1 and 1/4). Is this normal? )

I went to several garages but they failed to identify this issue. Do you know any solution for this?
