Personally I've driven there many times in rainy weather there are no problems with grip there. Perhaps what you drove over was oil?

The things against you now is statistics. By statistics, majority of people do not crash or encounter grip issues during rainy weather inside. Hence, it's difficult to prove your point that the building is unsafe.

I can vouch for TS. Last time drove my EK4 there and yes, it did skid, but luckily I did not bang into anything.

The flooring needs to be looked at man

Any1 got experience knocking down hdb car park barrier? What is the damage? I recently hit 1 down, saw it was tied by a cable tie, then afternoon when I drop by the place, the barrier is already up and running? So far 3 weeks already haven received any summon letter from them...they got CCTV so I am sure they got my car plate number

My office at upp paya lebar, ever happen b4 here, in fact quite often. The barrier cost around 200, but you can get it at Kaki bukit for 50 nia, even though they replaced it they kept many spares for replacement, if you got good rapport wif them just get one and replace it.

Oily floor not properly cleaned could be one cause for cars to skid at some low speed especially when turning.

If the floor is too slippery for every cars when it is wet, it is likely that such incidents could have been very common but apparently, it is not so.

Hence, TS should discuss with the management in charge of the carpark to arrive at an amicable solution to avoid the involvement of his insurer if at all possible.

Nevertheless, it is good for TS to share and highlight the possible danger when driving within that carpark especially when it is wet.

So say you and such statement is subject to the outcome from a lawsuit. However, how many will actually want to challenge such disclaimer unless such challenge may be worth the time and $$$ to be spent by one who is affected by such disclaimer.

Hence, it's better to be aware than caught in Catch 22 situation.

Perhaps some bros here don't know the cost of hiring a lawyer. It is costly and time consuming.

If the cost is much more than what you have to pay for the repair, there is no point going into a legal tussle over this.

(edited)

I will just go down personally and discuss with the management the possibility of a compromise in compensation and hopefully can come up with a amicable solution after the quotation for the repair is let known....

It is just not worth it to engage in legal fight but now it boils down to the cost. What is they suddenly quote me like for example $8K for repairs?! [knife] [knife]

Been there alot of times and many times while the ground was wet but did not skid.

Hard to prove anything wrong on AB building fault unless there was oil stain on the ground that caused you to skid.

Try to settle amicabily and move on will be the best solution.

Raining very heavily this afternoon and any bros here going to Ubi Autobacs on rainy days please please be extra careful when manoeuvring in Autobacs Ubi carpark.

The flooring has almost no friction when the floor is wet.

Was there this afternoon, while doing and right turn trying to exit the carpark, very gently tapped on the brakes and whole car skidded and buang onto the auto barrier.

Wasnt even speeding at all. If you all notice, it is also very slippery even when you are walking.

Barrier box a bit slanted and barrier cannot work anymore. Awaiting quote for the damage. $$$$ fly.

This is just a warning to all bros, unnecessary comments is not welcomed.

Would be good if anyone in this line knows the rough $$ damage of the repair of the barrier....

[shakehead] [shakehead] [shakehead]

Well done

No mention if you were using drifting tire like 'Sincere' at that point in time

No mention the travelling speed at that point in time

I believe we can appreciate more information, so as to understand the precautions/preventive measures required

Hope no casualty involved.
