Adrianli Hypersonic April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 Nothing works like a bottle of thinner. Apply thinner on cloth and rub it on the paint.
KARTer 2nd Gear April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 Nothing works like a bottle of thinner. Apply thinner on cloth and rub it on the paint. Won't the plastic dashboard react to thinner and turn dull-looking?
Adrianli Hypersonic April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 Won't the plastic dashboard react to thinner and turn dull-looking? Dont think so if u do it quickly. And dont pour the thinner directly on the dashboard.

Skyiet27 Clutched April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 Should be kerosene Thinner should be too strong May leave a Matt surface if lacquer comes off Key point is always put a bit on a clean cloth n test on small surface 1st

Have not tried that. Its either turpentine or thinner. Turpentine is milder but needs lots of rubbing before paint come off. Thinner, much faster. Thatz my experience. Karebu 1st Gear April 19, 2012 Share April 19, 2012 u test the thinner first on a small area that's not too prominent la. if it fogs up then forget it. might be better off trying to scrape the paint off GENTLY. maybe rub with eraser

Vertigoer Neutral Newbie April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 Actually, those dish washing scrub (3m green color scrub) is pretty good at scrubbing off dry paint. Might want to try with some water. At least better than solvents.
