guys, my brakes are due, as changing to stock will cost me 300 per corner, amounting to 1200, was thinking an aftermarket upgrade. nothing of the BBK sort, just simple replace with something better. is it worth it?

how much will it cost and what are the pros and cons.

i'm driving an FD4, no hard driving, just occasional rev to clear engine and carbon

Just pay a visit here:

AutoZone Automotive Pte Ltd

Tel: 65- 6293 2557

Disc Rotors (Vetto) and brake pads (Vetto or Ferrodo) ain't gonna cost u more than SGD300 for all 4 corners. Not sure if they sell brake hoses though.

Like a little expensive leh....brake hose even if changed to SS also about 200 plus brake pads 2 front should be about 100 plus also.

i got the aftermarket brembo rotors at about 75/pc...by the way i was driving a Edix previously.

Just curious.. Was the brembo a worthy upgrade? I tempted to change my whole brake set to Brembos.. I am a noob in this.. What's the difference between 4 pot and 6 pot?

All combinations possible... as long as they can fit. [:p] Benefits... depending.....

Generally, the more pots, the better the grip...... SS lines provides a slightly better brake pedal feel (less spongy). Rotors for normal to agreesive driving, not much diff except to look better for slotted & cross drilled. They are more for track usage to prevent pad glaze. But a good set with better wear properties can last way, way longer than those cheaper/no brands. (Tarox is pretty good)

if can afford the brembos, then go for it. Good safety upgrade. Very obvious brake improvement if you're coming from those stock 2/1 pots setup.

Do pay attention to your wheel clearance and whether yours can clear the brakes. Else you'll also need bigger rims or with more offset.
