Nico is getting better! I remember his father in the 80s.

What happened to Alonso? :o

Nico is good all the way, just that the car doesn't give him the potentical to perform his best until recently where Mercedes improved in car performance.

Alonso just a normal racing, ferrari car just too slow to compete with top few cars at the moment.

good win for Nico. somehow MS fire has really died down, esp when he retired due to human error. at the end, stil smiling n freshly showered. gone tat famous scene where he slammed his red helmet agst the pit door after an early retirement incident.

one thing i don't understand.

Vettel start in 11, do 2 stops and finish 5th

Hanilton start 7, do 3 stops and finish 3rd.

so if hamilton do 2 stops can finish 1st ???

Not necessary. Cause tyres may not last.

the Pirelli marbles' performance and durability deviates a lot depending whether the car is in clean air or jostling for position. This makes qualifying this year all the more important, and its becoming a lottery for the middle of the pack cars.

Just look at Raikkonen. from what 3rd to 14th in the space of two laps, the drop in performance of the tyres is "cliffy" indeed.

I missed the days where there were refueling and drivers went all out, no holds bar, every lap could had been a qualifying lap. Now drivers have to nurse their tyres, especially the Pirelli marbles.

Its like from watching hardcore to softporn.

As much as I support AMG Mercs F1 and Schumy, I pretty much doubt Nico will have such a dominant win had he not gotten away cleanly at the start or if Mclaren had not blotched Button's final pit stop, but that takes nothing away from Nico's maiden win.

Hope AMG Mercs have made progress on the tyre issues, they seem to have mastered the cooler temperatures, now see if they can extend the operating window to the hotter tracks.

About time Schumy's bad luck runs out, Bahrain is one of his better tracks, let's see what he can do next weekend.
