Wonder when will "SKY" plate be hitting our market?

You can bid the number first, but if your bidding is successful, think you need to use the number to register a car within 3 or 6 months, forgot the timeline. if not you would not able to use the number anymore.

Based on today's COE quota, every series takes 4 months to finish. We have 19 letters (including SKF) to reach SKY. THere would be no SKI and SKO series. So, for 17 letters to reach SKY from now. That means by November 2017, you would get. This would increase if COEs go lesser.

Pray hard to get the COE's increased, so that you can get your SKY plate soon and we can get our cars cheaper!

The rolling of the car plate is very slow, finally the car plate roll until SKF. I also wonder which month will SKY plate out? 2012 or 2013? [:/]

SKU can! Vowels are not allowed only at second place. I and O are not allowed at any place as they confuse with number 1 and 0!!

Have to wait 5 years for the SK* series to reach until SKY??? [shocked] Thought one car plate series usually only take 1-2 years to finish?!

No each series takes about 4 months. To be precise, based on today's quota, it would be 5 years and 8 months from Feb 2012. SKF started in Feb 2012.

I wonder how will "Personalised plates" works? What if your plate is similar or same as others people? How would they keep track and ensure that all the plates would be different? [:/]

i think it will end up very silly.

you will have rich people with car plates like

HELLO or Ll1IIL1LI0lOL

hi there,

sorry to hijack thread as i cant post a thread yet

Any one knows is there any (LTA) website or means to find out what existing car plates are there still bring used in the vehicle population.

E.g - if i want to know whether (sample only, not real numbers) EA1234 or Sxx1234 is still being used on a car or is it scrapped number already.

Like 1950s to 70s the S plates

70s to 80s the E plates [rolleyes]

thanks.
