Will Singapore be the first Asian country to ban shark

Sinkapoor so funny one, everything want to be first, now will want to banned Shark fin.

 

Banning chewing gums is already a topic !! Why don't they consider banning ciggerates, alcohol, all meat etc

Ok la. Ban also good. Can save the sharks

 

So banning all meat, can save the pig, the chicken, the cow and the goat too...... why not ban all? They are also life!!!

sg might just be the 1st to succumb to the influence(+pressure) from western countries to ban shark's fin..until then i'll still continue to eat..if not i'm just increase my regular dose of turtle soup for the collagen and bird's nest

Unlike sharks, those animals you quoted can be bred easily in farms.

Do it the Singapore way!

 

Introduce the equivalent of COE and ERP to sharkfin trade la

 

Set a quota, the traders bid for it or tax the diners for sharkfin consumption

 

Govt earns $$ and consumption gets controlled!!

i sar pok! ban the shark fins.... if you guys seen the video who sharkfins were "harvest"... u will regretted eating sharfins.... those poor sharks were left injured and handicapped for days in the water before they die...

The thing is will banning shark's fin work? Or will it drive up demand? Surely there will be ppl or restaurants who will defy such a ban coz you can't run away from the fact that ppl want their shark's fin soup.

 

Banning chewing gum is obviously not effective. This kinda hardline tactics will only piss ppl off and make them go against the ban. As we can see in the chewing gum ban, i think the ban is just dumb. How can you stop ppl from what they want to eat or chew? Democratic society indeed.

how often does 1 eat sharksfin to consider banning it?

 

minus 2 weeks ago at my grandfather's birthday, the last time i ate was 2 years back?

 

nobody eats sharksfin everyday until it can go extinct

not effective meh? i hardly see ppl chew gums now aday. and from what i know most singaporean kids go oversea also dont have craving to eat gums..

need doctor recommendation?? i heard only for medical purpose like quit smoking then can buy.

 

or any one of us can buy??
