Some passengers still not belting up

Some drivers and passengers still persist in not wearing seat belts, despite the very real possibility that they could be flung out of the vehicle should an accident occur.

For some, personal comfort overrides the safety factor, while others are simply too used to not buckling up despite numerous safety campaigns over the years.

The issue of belting up came into focus after a Singaporean woman and her son were killed on Saturday after being flung out of their car in a crash on the North-South Expressway in Malaysia. They were on their way back from Malacca.

Belting-up is compulsory for both the driver and the car's passengers in both the front and rear seats in Singapore and Malaysia.

For their own safety, they really need to belt up. It only takes one accident to make them realise the importance of belting up, but it may be too late [:(]

btw, if the lady's front assets are too well-endowed, and double as natural airbags, maybe she can be excused? :D

indeed..many believe the car is invincible to outside forces and chose to ignore safety device like a seatbelt..probably due to ignorance..thriftiness(or stinginess)..or mostly a case of devil-may-care attitude

Very good question .... suggest that you stop wearing your seatbelts from today in case your car caught fire ... And also prepare to answer TP with this question in case when you are caught by them.

I think currently in the world, unbucketed seatbelts caused very much more deaths than jam seatbelts from burning car....so which chances you wanna take?
