Win 12 million, I will immediately deploy it to create passive income trust for my family. Will then create 2 scholarships in my dad and my mum's name. The passive income from the portfolio can easily provide housing and mortal needs without touching the capital base. Charity will be a regular item to household expenditure just like today. As for myself, I may take a break from my life and wander off perhaps live like a monk for a few years to seek inner peace and enlightenment. The other day I saw on TV of rural folks, they have such hardship life yet they seem happy. They work with nature and just focus on basic things in life. Perhaps that's the reason why they are so happy. You second question suggest that you already won that $1mil. If so, you can wait for correction in property market, buy wait for rental market.
