Sluggish Acceleration issue

Feeling my car has slightly sluggish acceleration.

Usually i just need to depress abit to move off or maintain cruising speed (of 80km).......but recently kinda feel i need to depress significantly more to maintain speed or accelerate compared to my past few months of drive.

-Checked tyres air pressure alright

-engine oil changed to Mobil One green for a month liao......along with oil filter changed

-CVT oil dealer changed for me 6mths ago which was about 12000km before

- Petrol using the same throughout past 4mths

- Air filter using K&N and i washed it about 8000km (4mths) ago.

What could possibly cause for less drive power?

Throttle body. Dirty TB can cause sluggish acceleration.

most likely its due to the adaptive ECU, if i am not wrong u must have been very light-footed in the last few months.

what CVT ride you have now? Teana? A4 S-line?

try being a bit very heavy-footed for a week or two and you will find your ride back to normal once your ECU adapts back

agreed, could be TB.

Can try cleaning MAF too..

Worst case scenario- O2 sensor going up the lorry. But you should see CEL for this.

TB n injection may be dirty. Times to send it for drips.... ECU notmaffected unless u remove battery totally without engine running. All else fail then check O2 sensor. Not copying everyone else suggestion. This is the full troubleshooting steps. Usually problem will goes away after TB ad injection r clean.

My opinion is take out the K&N and use back stock paper filter.

The sluggish performance might go away. :D

Check yr ride igntion system, spark cables and spark plugs. Chances of cable loose connections or cables are aging causing higher resistance resulting in lower KV when spark fire up.

My tuner recommended to clean the MAF sensor every 6 months, try it. Also, try cleaning your injector and TB. If your car is tuned, not recommended to clean TB as the ECU need to be reset. Also, the usual wear n tear esp Intake, exhaust and fuel system.

Your car is sick.

Need some medications.

Feed him a bottle of fuel system or fuel injector cleaner into fuel tank.

I think that will do first.

If not its sore throat. Need to clean MAP sensor and TB as you use K&N.

Afternoon's temperature high.. Confirm lost power compared to night. Bcos cold air contain more oxygen molecules which is better for combustion.. :)

Driving Honda Fit GE6. Yea......has been very light footer but till last month became heavy footer and found my FC to be much better when i accelerate slightly harder to reach cruse speed.

Drat.....i remembered using fiber cloth to clean my MAF sensor wire when i had error light.

That could be one of the cause.

But been on K&N for quite a while......was ok back then.

I am a little concern if that is due to 0W-40 engine oil left after a few days without running the engine. Hope the next days can find out.

Any bros can advice the rough pricing i should expect for getting workshop help to check and clean Throttle body?

Was quoted about SGD$60 for doing a check and cleaning of Throttle body + MAF sensor.
