hi everyone,

during my recent trip to kopi sua for qing ming, i came across some folks who were carrying away plastic bag full of small fruits which looked like durians. is it durian season now?

if so, will it constitute any offence to pick up wild fruits from the forests?

can any experts pls advise?

the fruit dropped from the trees,u are merely keeping the place clean by removing the fallen fruit.still remembered last time we had exercise in mandai and some thais sneaked into training area to pick durians and we fired some blanks at them to scare them off.it was fun seeing how they run off.

Come to think of it now, do we still import Thai workers here in Singapore? They used to be everywhere, but hardly see them now.

The regular residents there also enjoy durians even we don't usual see them, so why take away what they enjoy? We can always buy durians in Geylang, unlike us, they can't go there. [:(]

I wonder who's an expert in such a field? Btw expert on what? Durian or what? Why not write to NEA for "expert" advise?

Why is TS suggesting that it's some kind of offense? Got signboard say cannot pick durian from the ground? Why not focus on your qing ming and do your part? Why care so much what other ppl do?

cemetery is gov preperty.

plucking flowers in park already an offence.

in theory picking up 'durian' on the ground is also considered as stealing.

just dont get caught.
