Top Gear USA edition sucks!

Well, actually TG USA is still copying TG UK.

 

But I find their interpretation much funnier and idiotic to watch =D I prefer TG USA anytime!!

 

Of course, TG UK older seasons were the best. But not the newer ones like 17&18.... =(

The pb is anyone who has watched bbc top gear will always be comparing us to uk.

Bear in mind the us ver is meant for 300mil americans who don't have a clue abt clarkson, hammond and may.

 

If viewed separately and without baggage, its not a bad show.

jus a total replicate of the original UK version but end up being a low class copy, with a irritating young punk (cant even b bothered w his name), a fat guy (supposed US version JC) and an older middle age guy (supposed james may).

 

started yest on channel 407 starhub. i thk its becos the UK season ended last week.

sigh...counting down to the new season, UK edition!

The Aussie version is slightly better, but not much...when are we going to have SGP top gear? Some mcf guys are more than qualified to host it.

Clarkson is now more of a clown than Coco.

Hamster and jMay each has his own charm, but JC's character is that of an arrogant / boastful / oversized orangutang! Quite a common character in everyday life

You must understand that the Americans has a different mentality when it comes to motoring matters including motor sports:- where else can we find the top national race series has race cars going round in circles/ovals?

 

Those who call them stupid just show their own ignorance.

 

There is no need to use UK TG as the benchmark to judge the US version. The audiences are not the same. When I said the US or OZ versions are not really good, I refer to them not being entertaining for my own personal taste, but not to the extent of the show being stupid.

but yest that episode is really stupid, esp the part abt how much manure ur car can carry and u see the dumb things they did...unless in US they care more abt entertainment value and laughs more than providing useful takeaway info for viewers....
