KARTer 2nd Gear April 1, 2012 Share April 1, 2012 In the suzuki swift you press unlock once only the driver side will unlock, you have to press again to unlock all doors and the boot. While this anti-hijack mechanism is highly relevant in other countries, it's quite redundant in SG. maybe good for sgp drivers who go JB often? JaydenSTI 1st Gear April 1, 2012 Share April 1, 2012 The most redundant feature in my car, the SI Drive..... For common feature found in most car, the must be the rear seatbelt.........
Xxghostriderxx Neutral Newbie April 1, 2012 Share April 1, 2012 The car still comes with heated seats even the car is meant to sell in s'pore? But if you didnt switch on the heated button, doesnt really bother you much la. If it's in the car means I'm paying for it right? What would I be paying something that is totally useless in Sg context? I still remember the first day I got my car and together with my wife (who spent a large part of her life in the states) notice this car heater seat. Both of us failed to comprehen why it's there and we thought it's for cooling instead. So we dumb dumb switch it on (and set to the highest level) and drove off... By the time we both reach the first traffic light. Both of our arse got so hot we wanna jump out of the car Now that button is strictly for saboing ppl we dun like in our ride.. Hehe

Hehe Sometimes, its more expensive to take out something that put in, if it is mass produced. Most of your car maybe sold in the temperate regions of the world, so heated seats are good selling point as standard equipment. Its also not too expensive to make heated seat. Think of people paying money to go sauna. Yo can have a sauna section with heater & heated seat set to max while you are driving. 2 birds in one stone. Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear April 1, 2012 Share April 1, 2012 my car can open the petrol cap without taking out the key, ie engine is still running.... is this normal? i think its safer to have the car in such a way that if engine is still running, petrol cap cant be open... Can know what model is that?
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear April 1, 2012 Share April 1, 2012 what about rear view mirrors? it seems they are un-used by many drivers!!! I believe trafficators more unpopular?
MrolexB 1st Gear April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 This remind me one of my neighbours. My place MSCP can only turn right be it you go up or down the MSCP. This guy will sure signal right whenever he makes a turn!! There is no way to turn left, so no need to signal la........ Can turn left one ... my place MSCP is "clockwise" for going up or down .. .but there was this blue Lafesta who come down using the "up" ramp after down ram .. so u imagine he come down the "down" ramp, turn left, reverse, then turn left down the "up" ramp, and repeat until ground flr ... save fuel ? save mileage ? save time ? beats me ! But inconsiderate ? Yaya ? Definitely !
KARTer 2nd Gear April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 Can know what model is that? eh, my current and recent cars (from 90s onwards) all like this:- side of driver seat on the floor there's a small lever, pull the lever, the petrol-flap opens, then unscrew the round cover, and then can pump petrol liao.... isnt yours like this also? Dont know if you ever use this feature in hot places like SGP/MY, i did and it gave me good result!! When going on-track, engine heat can get very high and the cooling system needs some "aid"... so some trackies just turn on the heater full-blast in order to extract heat from the radiator/engine to help keep engine from boiling.... the hot hear coming out from the air vents on the dashboard becomes very hot, enough to scorch our hands holding the steering wheel!!! so all the vents are turned away from hands and face....... i believe this works and helps drop the engine temp by 0.1 degC... ahahhaha
Vhtfhwlego Supercharged April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 Another one that I could think of is that headlight wiper. Should be rare here. Regards, ask "cefiro" whether he likes them on his coming "brand new facelift" .

A5SB 1st Gear April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 Got 1 thing not sure if it's the same across all Audi cars, but it holds true for mine. I have to turn on the engine, then can bring the wipers up to "maintenance" position, then I can wash the wiper blades. Then before drive off, I must go to MMI (Multi Media Interface) to bring it back to non maintenance position before I drive off, or the wipe will crash back to it's down position and damage your bonnet. ↡ Advertisement
