Supersonic

I have seen many Hondas crumple badly upon frontal impact. I think it's in the inherent design philosophy of Honda to lighten their power-to-weight ratio, but over-doing on the crushability of their crumple zones.

Crumple zones - yes, most modern cars have that, they don't crumple to a state like what Hondas do ... perhaps even the other Japs cars

Does crumple zones, seat belts, ABS, airbags and all the safety features give drivers a false sense of security and invincibility ?

Maybe so. Without all these, people may tend to drive more safely.

Supercharged

He could have been drink-driving but roadside bus terminals like this one are very unsafe for motorists.

It's like asking what's so nice about cars and why you want it or like it or even buy it... everybody has individual preferences. No right or wrong. [rolleyes][rolleyes][rolleyes]

Woman dies in car accident along Raffles Avenue

A woman in her 20s died on Sunday when the car she was in was involved in an accident.

Chinese newspaper Shin Min Daily News reported that her husband, who looked to be in his 20s, was driving the Toyota Vios when it collided with a lorry.

The impact caused the car to hit an SMRT bus that was parked at the Marina Centre terminal.

The accident happened at about 8am along Raffles Avenue.

The man also tore his shirt off in distress after the accident. He calmed down only after talking to the police. Probably witness can smell the hint of alcohol from him

But that area is accident-prone too. As well as the cornering just beside Singapore Flyer, as the angle is narrow and chiongsters like to speed during turn corners...machiam F1 drivers [shakehead]

i agreed,

the atmosphere there makes one feel like stepping on more gas.

its the F1 pit la.

bad influence.

but,

never in the correct frame of mind will i cheong that corner

1) its tight

2) bloody hell-a-lot of buses/lorries parked by the side of the road

3) got pedestrains/tourists dashing across road often as the nearest traffic lights is X-metres away (only)
