Channel 5 in decline

Newspaper reports that CH 5 viewership is on a steady decline

 

The main gripes are that CH5 shows are lame, old or boring.

 

To be very honest I never watched CH5 after getting cable (although cable quality also dropped a lot)

 

CH5 used to have a nice show in the 90s called Hey Singapore! but other than that, they don't really have anything memorable.

 

I consider shows like PCK to be extremely lame.

I only watched Channel 5 for The Noose.

 

Rest is crap, esp Point of Entry. The acting skills suxs. Still got second season...geez.

the noose is crap too. only a few clips are nice and thats about it. the rest are boring, not funny.

 

for noose, i only go for selected clips via youtube.

Maybe i dont have high expectation: still watch Ch5, but only one show: Noose...

Their movies are crap too....... super old.

 

Last night i saw the commercial that they are going to show "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on Ch 5...... DUH??????????. How old is this movie??? 20 yrs??

Usually for people who already have cable, sure would not or seldom watch local channel lo. If not you paid for your cable will be wasted.

If you are talking about local Ch5 sitcom/drama, you can forget it. Most ppl are watching sitcom/drama from the U.S. You will be spoilt for choice.

 

Lately I'm following the show "Person of Interest", my wife's fav "Gossip Girl". For other sitcoms/dramas, "Big Bang Theory", "House", "2 & a half men". Somew DL to watch , some watch on cable.

 

Even the "Spartacus" on Ch5 is boring to watch cos sgp got the version which has the nude scenes and gory scenes censored. I tu lan DL whole thing and watch the full version.

Maybe after the previous ceo stepped down mr bean have taken over the helm.

Most probably they will say their standard have dropped since their main source

of revenue that was theradio n tv license got axed.....
