How accurate is the traffic information on Google Maps?

In case you don't know, if you go to google maps, you can turn on the Traffic layer in the upper right corner.

 

But my question is: is it good? What are your experience with it?

 

For me....don't seem to be very accurate. Also, since I don't know how it gets its data, I'm naturally suspicious of it...

accurate most of the times..say about 8/10 times i used it..but i think there is a lag time of 5-10minutes..there are couple of times i went out seeing that its clear on 'Traffic@sg app', one-motoring and Google Maps..only to meet with a slight jam on the expressway :angry:
