Wind Screen hit by stone - Insurance Claim question

Recently i traveled behind a truck and the wind screen was hit by a stone. I believe it was from the truck.

Size of crack is about a 5cent coin. I can live with it.

I have comprehensive coverage. Wind screen is covered 100%.

Question is, if I go ahead with the repair or replacement, do you think my insurance premium will increase next year ?

Thanks.

Your next insurance premium should not be affected if this is your first windscreen claim within a year. If it's your 2nd claim, then your next renewal premium will be affected.

If its genuine case, just go ahead and claim lah. Do you want the little crack to grow into a bigger crack and eventually blast into pieces while u are driving?

Either or, varies with insurance Co.

Some will let you replace for the 1st foc,

another will charge u for 1st eg. $100 then 2nd or beyond foc

juz do a normal windscreen repair loh. cost u anything from 50-80

Can't use glass medic if it's beyond 10 cent coin size if I'm not mistaken...

Turbocharged

Next should not be affected. But I claimed twice from the same company and the following year they told me to pay $200 for windscreen coverage.

For a 5cts crack, just do a wind screen repair. Even if you claim the insurance for wind screen exchange, normally the wind screen tinting film is not cover.

if go thru glass medic for a 5-cent crack, will the window film affected?

I repaired it before at Glass-Fix. No damage to the window film.
