every 5K? what car you driving? why so fast change?

 

Normal kimchi car but always start/stop type. Wanted to shorten to 5K to have peace of mind but painful on the pocket using Mobil gold. Thinking of a lower cost alternative

Using Mobil 1 Gold bottle cap 0W-40, very gold oil and has been using it for the past 10 years on 3 cars.

Mobil 1 0w40 All round ultimate at all Esso stations

 

Triple R 30 is not that cheap leh! 5-litre bottle is about $59.99.

i think if you're using a good oil on an NA car, you don't need to change it so often. I suspect there's little benefit.

My lau pork car can take Astro boy 5w 30..

been using it for 3 times servicing liao,mileage is 110k..

Got it @$65/4L..change every 8k

Have used Castrol Edge 5W-30 for years, wouldn't trade it for anything else...

 

I heard good things about this oil. But it's more ex than M1 and SHU right ?

Am using M1 0w40..saw 1L bottles of Mobil 1 gold 0w40 at $26 each on the shelves. Then look up saw 5L CL 0w30 at $30+..how to buy M1 like that...hence asking any risk with CL for 5k interval, esp those who used CL and M1 before. Car needs 6.2L. cost differential is >$100, a lot!!

seriously if driving normal NA car and wanna change every 5k then doesn't matter what brand just get the cheapest in town i think don use SYN oil use mineral old also can.
