Could be the car is a lemon, also could be got accident but also could be the owner wants to use the car to gain profits, since the car price so high now.

The latter seems to be the trend for many current or existing owners.

However, it will be back to square one as these folks would go on and buy new or pre-owned cars and the prices of the cars are very high.

Maybe if he didn't change cannot last 2 more years? I remember my mom had a change of brake pad, battery n tyres, then 3 mobths later, she traded it in for a new CatA car. That was 2 years ago n the sunny was 7yr+.

Planning to sell the car, dont think anyone will bother to change any parts, right?! [:/]

Easy peasy bro.

Just drive your ride to various carmarts like thomson used car center or turf city or commonwealth.

Get a quotation.

If quotation is high and good and they are willing to trade in your car for another car with a relatively good price, go for it.

if they cant meet with it,

dekit and sell off accessories, and sell the car at the value they quote u.

den u lose lesser.

Buy a second hand or a first hand car= lose money.

unless current car really cmi, or its not wise to change haha

Hi Xtreme,

honestly, i dont understand why people are so concerned with getting a 1st hand car when they can get a second hand car in perfectly good condition at a MUCH CHEAPER price!! It really depends on how many years you plan to use the car. A car's lifespan with the COE is 10 years. So for example if you buy a second hand car half way in, you have 5 more years to drive that car.

and honestly, it is much less of a commitment, and you can just let it go if you decide you don't want to deal with it anymore! Or if there are change in life plans like going overseas etc. Save money, save time for high value.

If you are looking at buying safe, trusted and Good for value second hand cars, try CARLINK! It is a P-P used car marketplace with objective and transparent valuation, with NO intermediaries like car dealers= no car dealers admin fee= cheaper cars, and digitalised paperwork process, SUPER SIMPLE!. No need to do all the mafan paperwork at all.

I really love it, and personally will vouch for this brand. Along with others such as Carousell Motors.

1st Gear

Need some advice, my Lancer EX coming to 10yrs this Aug, was thinking should renew coe, get 2nd hand cars or buy new. My car's engine condition is still good as I did regular service very 10k, only the suspensions, engine mount and paintwork need to be done if want to carry on with this car. If buy new or 2nd hand I'll be looking at either K3 SX or Elantra Elite or S model.

U must calculate the each car yearly depreciation, petrol cost, road tax, maintenance cost, those costs are subjective to different cars. Sum up all those cost, from there, u see the money save for renew COE car is worth or not.

Last time I did this.
