There are some nice cottage to stay in along Lorne. Nice quiet and peaceful =) If you have kids, go Phillip Island around lunch time, see pelican feed. And penguins too. ( grand canyon of Australia ) Go on a day trip with the local tours. They'll stop at the local zoo or something where you can feel the wallabies and Some other farm animals. Stops at local produce store enroute up the mountains where you can get the freshest fruits And then up on the top, have lunch at the local hotel. Manly beach is worth a ferry ride too. I got a pair to Sydney at S$750 only by SCOOT :P Dont have kids, but pelican and pengiuns well liked. Going in OCT, so i will miz the whale season?
