I believe at least two. Driving without valid Driving Licence and motor insurance coverage, as well as failing to give way to the bus having the right of way.

maybe the bus driver was kind + frickered-minded? he steopped n waved the car to go, but last minute changed his mind and hit the car?

You may have noticed the car nearside rear wheel twisted out of alignment. The car rear door caved-in and jammed. How much is the force?

... and how weak was the car body? :D

It is the driver's responsiblility to ensure that the passenger wears seat belt. It is illegal to drive with any occupant(s) not wearing seat belt. I believe the insurance policy may not cover such illegal driving without valid driving licence. Driving Licence valid only if covered by motor insurance policy.

That means the driver got to pay traffic offence penalty, compensate the bus company, the bus driver, the passenger, pay for his own car repair, all from his own budget. Haut-ah

moral of the story:- as the driver, we dont move the car until everyone onboard is belted up... and prohibit big boob passengers onboard coz they cant buckled up properly due to biological constraints... [:p]

it's not even featured in such a drama?... all the efforts of planting roadside trees are wasted... [:p]

hope the fella survives and fully recovers.

on a sidenote this video would really drive home the message of wearing seat belts to many of us and our families.

should he recover, may it not be deleted.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bystander_effect

The bystander effect or Genovese syndrome is a social psychological phenomenon that refers to cases where individuals do not offer any means of help in an emergency situation to the victim when other people are present. The probability of help has in the past been thought to be inversely related to the number of bystanders; in other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help. The mere presence of other bystanders greatly decreases intervention. This happens because as the number of bystanders increases, any given bystander is less likely to interpret the incident as a problem, and less likely to assume responsibility for taking action.[1]

What the .....

Only SMRT bus captain come out and help, the rest all sit inside car and bus and see, onlookers also bo chap and cross the traffic light. Haiz.. [:(] [:(]

is it true that if the helper is not trained for such thing, best not to touch or move the injured? otherwise it may cause further harm.

the helper may try to console the victim, offer a drink, calm him, direct traffic, safeguard his belongings etc etc... but dont touch the injured...

lucky no 1 standing inside the bus...

if not, the braking force can make people fly from the end of the inside the bus right into the front windscreen.

Wonder what was on the spark's driver mind when making that turn.

Seems like spark driver think that either he can complete the turn or the bus may slow down or brake to avoid collision.

Does the spark driver know that bus e-brake requires 3 to 5 times the distance that a car need?

he thought his little spark is:

This junction has a signalised right turn traffic light + LTA's J-camera. I always turn right here to visit the fish shop.

Either driver must have beat the lights.

Most likely the car driver, later in the video you can see a vw beetle passing the bus on the right side.

Failure in judgement by car driver, hope the guy flung out is all right. Medical fees gao gao.
