Can la, just lazy... Dun want to reach office all sweaty and sticky...

Then got itchy armpits... [laugh]

If u r a person who exercise regularly, u would not reach office all sweaty & sticky lah. I ride bicycle quite fast to office with slight sweat. It will dry up in no time.

For itchy armpits, can use anti-perspirants. Sure no sweat.

yap. this is wat i was being told to do...

Walking take me 15mins~16mins - speed is depending on human traffic flow and traffic lights (maybe 1 or 2)..

in reality, it took me 20 mins as time starts from MRT door... walk down the stairs, finding the right direction...

If take train ~ bus - on paper it takes 23 mins....

They had not take in time require to wait for buses...

furthermore, if walking takes 20mins or less, I dont see the need to take train/bus which cost me 23mins.

Go to FSG Mobility web & read the following:

Riding the YikeBike in Singapore

The YikeBike is a new phenomenon with such unique design specifications that it does not fit squarely into any of Singapore's current vehicular categories. It has been brought to the attention of the LTA and is currently under evaluation. As such it currently does NOT require registration, licensing nor insurance. It does NOT have LTA approval for use on public roads. Its lightweight design and limited top speed was designed for it to be used similarly to a bicycle with appropriate safety gear. We recommend that it be ridden responsibly and safely on pedestrian pathways, private areas, park connectors, recreational areas away from fast moving vehicular traffic. Current proposals in Europe are for motorized vehicles which weigh less than 25 kgs and do not go faster than 25 km/hr to not require any registration nor licensing and be treated as regular bicycles given the safety considerations of lightweight low speed vehicles. We are hopeful that the Singapore authorities will have the will and foresight to quickly adopt such forward thinking policies to encourage innovative last mile solutions such as the YikeBike to help commuters tackle urban congestion.

xootr

I have a Xootr mg :) Absolutely love it, esp it's low rolling resistance. Use it almost every day to go to my parents' place (~1km away). One downside is that it doesn't handle bumps and uneven surfaces well. So if the walkway is not well maintained, you'll certainly get a headache riding the xootr because of all the vibrations.

Yup, it's just that the xootr is a lot more portable. Anyway, before deciding on the xootr, i actually contemplated getting a kickped. It's supposed to handle bumps very much better. Only thing is that shipping the kickped to Singapore is expensive. And i couldn't find anyone going to NY at that time to help me bring one back

Yes, I have a Xootr Roma, packed very nicely with a optional carrying sling.

And the vibration is really [dizzy] [dizzy] [dizzy].
