But the current mercedes design still quite suitable to "young" buyer la. I saw many young executive driving the new C class.

Well, to each his own. Haha.

I've seen old grandpa's and grandma's driving the C-Class too....

And C-Class is used as a family car too. My neighbor just traded in their Honda Fit for a used C180CGI (pre-facelift version).... Put baby seat behind. Haha.

by the time 1.6L 318 or 316 made it here on shore cat A , mass market for entry lux sedan is already sucked dry by c&c , just like how nissan family size hatch beat a bunch of late hatch boomers namely mazda subaru hyundai

Anyone here think C&C will close down Mitsubishi & use the existing showroom (if they still has one), for Mercedes service center or showroom?

If I am C&C board, I will seriously considered that.

Off topic. I still cannot imagine driving a merc, but I think maybe my next car will be a beemer. I have beem wanting a beemer since high school days.

I saw an E46 BMW 3er a near my gym last week, & it still looks good. [thumbsup]. I really love the new 5er, but the price also very the 'nice' leh...

Need to lun a while for a used one a few years later (when the price drop to at least 2/3 [:p] ).

a German once told me:

u buy a Merc for it's elegance.

buy a beemer for it's sportiness.

that's how a typical German categorizes. ^_^

Well, a local saying .....

If you want to drive, drive a BMW

If you want to be driven. be driven in a Merc....

Having owned a E90 and currently driving the W204 .... I have to agree with this saying.

I still miss the sportiness of the E90 but I do enjoy the elegance of the W204 ....

Erh, no??

People will still continue to buy a 1.6L BMW???

Many Singaporean families are not very keen to buy hatchbacks.

They prefer sedans.

Told myself the same thing too, a few years ago.

Owned many brands, but not BMW - why not?

But Sold the bimmer (bought brand new from PML) after only 2+ years.

Too many problems, leaks, faulty actuator, leaks, peeling paint on interior plastics, rattles, leaks, air-cond, leaks.

Hatchback not practical, space wise is small.

Interestingly, the top 5 selling brands contribute 65% of the new cars registered .... the others ADs outside the top 5 basically "eat grass" ....

Looks like it is going to be between Merc and BMW for the no. 1 position .... Merc with their attractive pricing for the C180K and BMW with the launch of the new 3 series ... My bet is on BMW to be number 1 again this year ....

Looks like Toyota and VW are in a very close fight for the title of mass-market top dog. Honda really doing badly despite launch of new Civic. Even jaguar and porsche sold more cars than them last month! Mitsubishi is down the dumps and did not even sell a single EX Lancer last month. But I suppose who wants their car to be mistaken for a Proton Inspira.
