Agree but it's taking a little tad too long, about a year from the quarter of next year i.e. earliest September 2013 to implement the DO-NOT-CALL ruling and the more comprehensive ruling which includes texting June 2014 to do that.

I agree completely.

 

OK, maybe not completely.

 

My case:

 

Few years ago, always had lots of calls/smses/whatsapps, esp abt 5 yr ago when i moved house. Everyday got agents asked me whether want to buy/sell/rent... 

non-stop.

 

Then when the DNC thing started, I registered. A few weeks later, the calls/smses/whatsapps decreased gradually till no more.

Then from i think 1.5 yr ago, suddenly got lots of moneylenders (mostly illegal i'm sure), started calling/sms'ing/whatsapping me to ask me if i need loan, if i want to go on-line gambling, etc.

 

Called PDPC, suggested I call police. Called police, told to make report. Called telco, they said will activate some call filter for me; no use. The last advice was asked me to change my mobile no. 

 

I installed call blockers, until now the app tells me full liao, asked me to delete some entries... 

 

bottomline - useless!

Seems like no ministar is following up on it...

 

For me late last year it was bad becos I was sending out resumes and awaiting calls from interested HR.

 

But end up always pick up these kind of cold calls...muahayayayaha...

Getting more and more of such calls and even SMS recently. Banks probably I understand, but tutors? I never engage any tutors before.
