Ooh ok above is the tyre info quite a new tyre I think cos never heard of bros talking about it.

Reminds me of Falken Sincera which I believe to be cheapest available. Used car dealers always give you new Falken Sincera tire when they advertise. Quiet, durable, but road adhersion for braking and steering?! Sorry, better look at other brand/pattern.

Neutral Newbie

GR90 seems to be sold out everywhere... wanted to get it from Soh Brothers yest and realized no more stock(195/65/15).

Frankie says GR90 supply is always limited, advise me to check back in 1-2weeks

After reading Torque magazine advert, Now I got another tyre in mind.... Bridgestone ECOPIA EP100A.... thought I already decided on GR90... now have to revaluated

Anyone has views on this new tyres?

http://www.bridgestone.com.sg/product_ep100a_concept.html

Hihi,

I was previously a Yoko user. But after a 'near death' experience, I decided to research and invest in quality tyres since it's the only contact from the car with the road!

I have posted on several threads on my experience with Bridgestone Ecopia EP100A, Turanza GR90, and Potenza S001. You can see that at the moment, I'm an avid Bridgestone user :)

Once I have exhausted my 'trial' with Bridgestone, I hope to try other tyres if there are opportunities but meanwhile, I'm very assured with my Bridgestones.

General Opinion on tyres:

Know your needs and driving habits.

City Driving: Bridgestone Ecopia EP100A, Turanza AR10, Michelin XM1 (XM2 is coming, dunno when), Yokohama Earth1, Goodyear Assurance Fuelmax, etc...

Premium comfort touring: Bridgestone Turanza GR90, Michelin Premacy LC, Yokohama Advan DB, Goodyear Eagle EfficientgGrip, Pirelli P Zero Nero

Sporty Driving: Bridgestone Potenza RE001 Adrenalin, Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Yokohama S Drive AS01, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Premium Performance: Bridgestone Potenza S001, Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Pirelli P Zero Rosso

Circuit/Street: Bridgestone Potenza RE11, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, Pirelli P Zero Corsa System

The above list is non-exhaustive. However, I hope we can appreciate and compare our needs to the right tyre. It is difficult to compare apples from oranges so comparing GR90 and EP100A for example, will provide unbalanced views.

Field Report for Bridgestone Ecopia EP100A (215/55R17):

Fuel-saving: 10/10 (approx extra 40KM per week on a Honda Accord, heavy mileage)

Handling: City 9/10; 150KM 6/10 (light steering of Honda Accord also contributes to poor high speed handling)

Wet/dry braking: 7/10

Comfort/Noise/Handling: 7/10 (still new)

Yes. Assurance Fuel Max is truly one of the good ones. I'm using it now. Very happy with it. Change my point of view towards Goodyear tyres thou I had bad times with their NCT 5. -_-

Sorry to hijack this thread, but anyone knows where to get BF Goodrich tyres? Many years ago on my previous car, I tried these tyres. It is surprisingly good, very very grippy on both wet and dry.

After that I switch to Bridgestone, Falken, Hankook.......but still I miss BFG. I tried going back to the tyre shop at AMK autopoint, but apparently they dun carry them anymore.
